Month #5 of Living Without | Junk Food

Note: This post is a follow up of my earlier post which talks about 2014 as an 'Year of Living Without'. 



This month was supposed to be easy. Avoiding any kind of junk food does not take a lot of effort. But it did not turn out that way. When we are at work, the fat samosas call us. The bhel-puri and the other chaats invite us too. Sometimes there is Dil-Pasand accompanied with tea. Weekend mornings we crave for deep fried hash-browns or plump medu vadas soaked in sambar. And that is when we forget (and at times knowingly ignore) about our 'month-without-something'. 

There is a lack of self control. And this 'lack' is so strong that it comes up with great reasons like - 'एक ही तो ज़िन्दगी मिलती है, उसमें भी समोसा न खाया तो क्या किया?'  -  and similar shit.

To summarize, this 'no-junk-food' thing didn't go quite well. I'll try to repeat this again later this year.The next month is a bit tricky. I'm already sure that some things cannot be avoided - but lets see to what extent I can avoid Internet based communication for personal usage. Would be good to experiment.

Meanwhile, there is some pizza-with-fatal-levels-of-cheese for lunch today. :)
