Few weeks back we took a drive to the Muthathi forest. The place is around 80 kilometers from Bangalore and on the banks of the Cauvery river. It is a good place to trek or drive around, and heaven for nature photography enthusiasts. You'll often spot deers crossing the roads, and if you are patient enough to spend a couple of moments in silence, closer shots are definitely obtainable.
The forest is abundant with rhesus monkeys and we found it difficult to get out of the car since the entire clan was over it. This photo is the best of the entire set of snaps that we took. The ma-monkey gazed at us balancing herself over the rear view mirror. While she was interested in getting something to eat, its baby was curious over the items scattered on the dashboard.
